Booking & Courses Terms and Conditions

THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“TERMS”) APPLY TO ANY BOOKING/ COURSE ( A COURSE IS A CAMP, CLINIC, TRAINING SESSION or TOURNAMENT)  PROVIDED BY US THAT IS BOOKED. PLEASE READ THE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE MAKING A BOOKING BECAUSE YOU WILL BE BOUND BY THEM ONCE A CONTRACT COMES INTO EFFECT BETWEEN YOU AND US IN ACCORDANCE WITH CLAUSE 2. BY FILLING OUT THE BOOKING FORM AND CLICKING “CONTINUE” YOU ARE DEEMED TO AGREE TO THESE TERMS.

1. Information about us

1.1 You can contact us if you have queries in relation to your Booking or for any other reason on email info@skyballclub.co.uk

2. Your Booking

2.1 By filling out a booking form via the Website or using application to confirm attendance to the courses/ events / training you are submitting a request to book a place on the specified course. All requests are subject to acceptance by us and we will confirm such acceptance to you by sending an email to the address that you provide during the booking process to confirm the details of the booking and that payment has been received via Card Payment/ Bank Transfer.

2.2 At the point we send the Booking Confirmation a legally binding agreement is formed between you and us on these Terms. The Agreement is always conditional on payment being authorised by your bank. 

2.3 The Course Details are subject to change at any point up to the start of the Course and we advise you to check the Website regularly. If we have to make changes to the Course Details less than 7 days before the Course start date where possible we will also notify you of this directly by email or by another channel, such as  Spond application that is in use to manage bookings. If you are under 18, we understand that booking may be made by your guardian or next of kin, in which case, provided contact details shall be used to maintain communication.

2.4 By making a booking you warrant that you are at least eighteen years of age and a UK resident. 

3. If we have to cancel a Course

3.1 If we have to cancel a Course we will let you know as soon as possible and will try to offer a place on an alternative course of the same value wherever possible. If we are unable to provide an alternative course, we will offer you a full refund.

3.2. If you need to cancel a Booking in more than 7 days before the start date of the Course we will attempt to transfer your booking to another course of equivalent value subject to availability. If this is not possible we will make a full refund to you. If you need to cancel in less than 7 days but more than 48 h prior to the course, we will refund 50% of the value of your booking. If the cancellation is made in less than 48 h prior to the course no refund will be issued. In some circumstances full refunds may be issued if cancellation is made in less than 7 days prior to the Course, but this will be at our discretion. 

4. Our Staff

4.1 We confirm that 4 of our coaching staff that work with juniors have been subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), safeguarding training and checks and hold suitable coaching qualification. There will always be at least one of them present on the beach at the time of training. 

5. Photographs


5.1 Please note that there will be photographs and film recording taking place at our events. These photographs will be used for promotional purposes by the volleyball club associated shared on social media. You will be asked to confirm your agreement in the application for membership management for these to take place and whether you agree for them to share on social media.

6. Liability 

6.1 We have public liability insurance cover with Volleyball England Organisation. 
6.2 We do not accept liability for loss or theft of personal belongings that occurs while on the Course. If you/your child brings valuables with them this will be at your risk. 

7. Complaints

7.1 We are committed to ensuring you/your child has a great experience but if you or your child is not entirely happy with its experience please contact the Head Coach of the Course in the first instance. If your complaint has not been resolved to your satisfaction, please contact us on info@skyballclub.co.uk with full details of the complaint and we will attempt to resolve it as quickly as possible. 

8. Medical / Dietary / Other Requirements

8.1 If you/ your child included on your Booking:
(a) has specific dietary requirements; (b) is taking medication; (c) has allergies; (d) has any special needs that will affect his or her participation in the Course, it is your responsibility to inform us of this and provide all necessary details about this at the time of Booking.

8.2 Please note that our staff are not permitted to take responsibility for or to administer medicines and therefore you are responsible for ensuring any medicine is available and taken correctly. 

8.3 We will maintain a register of children attending each Course. Please note that it is your responsibility to sign in at the beginning of each day of your course and to provide us with details of whoever will be collecting your child at the end of the day.

9. Data Protection

The Website is operated by Skyball Beach Volleyball Club Organisation. When you make a booking via the Website Skyball will collect and process the personal information you provide in order to provide the services you have requested and for other specific purposes, subject to your consent. Your personal information is only held by our organisation and will not be shared with any other parties. You will be asked for your consent before we contact you for marketing purposes. 10. Membership

10.1 Membership lasts for one year, starts on 1st April and finishes on 31st October

10.2 Members will receive communication via email and other social media channels with information about the club and updates about the upcoming events, unless otherwise stated in the form at the time of booking a course. Alternative Skyball Club uses the Spond application where all Skyballers will receive updates about events, trainings and courses.

11. Safeguarding policy

Skyball BVC has adopted and adhere to the following Volleyball England Policy – Safeguarding and protecting young people policy (edition 15 December 2022)
